Frequently asked questions about the Amigo Plan

Is there a minimum commitment?
No. You can cancel whenever you like. We believe in Plan Amigo so strongly that we've never needed to impose any minimum term.
Is there a sign-up fee?
For now, we've waived the €95.75 sign-up fee so that no one is left out. You'll only start paying the monthly fee once the plan is activated.
However, if there are repeated sign-ups and cancellations, the platform requires us to charge the sign-up fee.
Is it really worth it?
In the vast majority of cases, yes.
With consultations and vaccines alone, many owners recover a significant part of their annual fee. But the biggest benefit isn't financial.
The real advantage is knowing you can come to the vet whenever you have a concern, without the price of the visit being a reason to wait. And that lets us catch many problems before they progress, and brings peace of mind back into your home.
Is Plan Amigo pet insurance?
No. Plan Amigo is a preventive medicine programme with exclusive benefits for our clients.
It includes clinical consultations and offers significant discounts on a wide range of services, but it is not pet insurance.
Which consultations are included?
All clinical consultations carried out at ZAUNKA are included in Plan Amigo*. If diagnostic tests, medication or other procedures are needed during the consultation, these would receive the benefits and discounts corresponding to the plan. * Excluding the ethology service (50% discount), and services outside Zaunka, such as tests or emergency care at external centres.
Can I sign up for the Plan at any time of year?
Yes.
You can sign up whenever you like. Our veterinary assistants will explain from what point all the benefits start to apply.
How is it paid?
The fee is charged automatically each month to the bank card you provide when you sign up for the Plan.
If you ever need to change your card, you can do so easily from the website.
Can I cancel the Plan whenever I want?
Yes.
There's no minimum commitment. If you decide to cancel, you just have to let us know.
Can I use the Plan from day one?
Yes.
Once the Plan is activated, you can start enjoying its benefits according to the terms set out.
Is it for dogs, cats and exotic pets?
The fee is charged automatically each month to the bank card you provide when you sign up for the Plan.
If you ever need to change your card, you can do so easily from the website.
Can I take out a single Plan for several pets?
Each pet needs its own Plan Amigo, since services, vaccines, check-ups and follow-up care are individual.

If I have more than one pet, do I have to take out several plans?
Cada mascota necesita su propio Plan Amigo, ya que los servicios, vacunas, revisiones y seguimiento son individuales.
Pero como en Zaunka somos varias las compañeras que tenemos más de un animal en casa, entendemos los gastos que supone, y no pagarás el doble o el triple. Cuantas más mascotas tengas, mayor será el descuento en la cuota:
  • 1 pet: 100% of the fee (€12.50).
  • 2 pets: 10% discount on each fee.
  • 3 pets: 20% discount on each fee.
  • 4 or more pets: 30% discount on each fee.
What if my pet never gets sick?
Let's hope that's the case!
That's exactly what Plan Amigo is for. Its main goal is to keep your pet healthy through prevention, check-ups and veterinary follow-up care.
What happens if my pet needs surgery?
Surgery isn't included, but Plan Amigo members enjoy significant discounts, as well as benefits on many other services.
Do I also get discounts on diagnostic tests?
Yes.
Plan Amigo members receive discounts on many complementary tests, such as blood work, X-rays, ultrasound scans and other diagnostic procedures.
Are vaccines included?
Vaccines aren't 100% free, but Plan Amigo members enjoy a 50 % discount, which adds up to a very significant saving over the year, with the exception of the Leishmaniasis vaccine.
Can I sign up for the Plan if my pet is already older?
Of course.
Preventive medicine matters throughout life, but it becomes even more important in senior animals, where regular check-ups help detect illness early.
Which services are not included?
Any services carried out outside Zaunka, such as emergency care at referral centres, tests performed outside Zaunka, and pet cremation.
Ethology consultations, because of their exceptional length and dedication, have a 50% discount rather than 100%.
Why do we offer this Plan?
Because we believe no owner should ever put off a vet visit for fear of the cost of a consultation. Our goal is for you to be able to come whenever you have a concern, so we can catch any problem as early as possible.
We believe good veterinary medicine begins long before an illness appears.
And what if I end up hardly needing it?
That would be wonderful news. It would mean your pet has enjoyed a full year of good health.
Plan Amigo isn't designed to make you come to the vet more often. It's designed so you never have to wonder whether it's worth coming in when a concern arises.
